It is important that you use this slip to order further prescriptions. Tick the items you require and either drop it into the box in reception or hand to the receptionist
- asking your pharmacy to order for you - your pharmacist will order your regular medications for you free of charge
If you need your prescription collecting by the chemist, kindly inform them that there is a prescription waiting for collection.
Nominating a pharmacy
You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- At your GP practice
- At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Medication reviews
If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. Please book a routine appointment for your review.
Collecting your prescription
You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.
Questions about your prescription or medication
If you think there is something not quite right with your medication, please contact the practice/pharmacy as soon as possible to raise your concerns.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

Find a pharmacy
Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.
Most pharmacies have a private room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
